A complete disaster – when a bollard gets caught behind a bumper.

This repair started as a complete nightmare. A bollard became trapped behind the bumper, leaving the car completely stuck and unable to move.

To free the vehicle, the customer had no choice but to use hand cutting tools to remove sections of the bumper. What was left behind could only be described as a disaster.

Luckily, bumper repairs are exactly what we specialise in at Smarter Cars. All of the damaged sections were carefully collected and plastic-welded back into place. After additional repair work to restore the shape and strength, the bumper was fully prepared and resprayed to a factory-quality finish.

Another bumper saved and returned looking as good as new.
